So this is my second blog on this blogger thing though if I do have 5 or 6 more scattered around the web. Though my book blog on here is my most succesful.. in the sense that I've posted in it more than twice - not in the sense I've got a hundred readers.. cos I haven't! In fact I don't think I have a single one, so mostly I shall be writing to myself, except of course when I become so famous everyone will want to catch up on all these blogs and kick themselves for not realising how cool I actually am. Ha!
Anyway, I went to see St Trinians today and was thinking that I should really start a film blog (I so want to write about Sweeney Todd anyway ya see) as I'm quite liking writing in my book blog. And then I thought I should have a music blog or a gig blog.. and then I thought I should have a TV series blogs to comment on those.. and THEN i thought I should have a blog about the various games I sometimes get sucked into. And as good as blogger.com is at sorting multiple blogs I decided that things would get out of hand, and have made a simple random blog where all these things can be put into one open title (except for books - they still get there own). I think this will be best, because if I do end up with several blogs for several topics I can see the blogging stopping! So I wont blog about every film I've seen, or every new CD I've listened to, but if things take my fancy I will write about them here. Mostly for the fact that I'm probably bored, though I am trying to improve my writing a little bit (particularly as I've done very little writing since the end of my dissertation in September) and blogging is the least stressful way to do this!
I will write a new entry about Sweeney Todd as it was so fabulous, and I can't wait to see it again (I may save the blogging until I've seen it again..) but I will mention St Trinians here! I thought it was quite good actually - there were quite a few nods to Colin Firth and Rupert Everetts acting careers which was cool. Particularly Colin Firth in a wet see through shirt.. even though I STILL haven't got round to seeing that version of P&P yet! It wasn't a great film but it wasn't bad and I did enjoy it so job done really! It had quite a few similarities to the very first St Trinians film (the only other one I've seen so not sure about the others) which is good, as it hasn't gone against what you believe St Trinians to be. As we were leaving, Colin Firth and Rupert Everett seemed to be singing something to each other (couldn't listen as my brother was getting antsy) but will have to look that up now cos what I did hear was rather amusing!
It doesn't even get close to how good Sweeney Todd was though (which I saw the first day it came out - oh yes!). Flipping amazing! But as I've said, it deserves it's own entry!
